It's the greatest town I've ever known It's ripe with charm, it'll make you glow The big apple, you'll feel it in your core It's the kinda place that'll leave you wanting me And the city brings the fruits of love When you hear it sing its like angels from above and although the big apple knows we're apart It's still planting a seed in my heart And the city brings the fruits love When you hear it sing its like angels from above and although the big apple knows we're apart It's all that I need, enchanting indeed It's still planting a seed in my heart

All at once I feel your hand All the while I think it's grand But in my memory it's only love and glee All I want is what we once had All the joyful days we spent All the places that we went And in my room alone I'm reaping what I've sown All I want is what we once had Once I had a lover dear to me All in life a fantasy But now I think about it clearly He left me in such agony All that's left is my poor heart All in pieces, torn apart In the fabric of my dreams you're pulling at the seams And though you are gone I'm still holding on To a dream that will drive me mad but all I really want is what we once had

about

"All I Want" (Danny Jonokuchi and Jordan Seigel) features eight original songs reminiscent of the most memorable moments and sounds in big band history. Listeners will be transported to the bright lights of Hollywood and the skyline of New York City during the classic years of swing. The music gives a considerable nod to bands led by Count Basie, Glenn Miller, and Benny Goodman, as well as the skilled arrangers Neal Hefti and Quincy Jones.

Full of nostalgia, you may think to yourself:
All I want... is what we once had.
